High Note Trail
Distance: 10km with 400m ascent
Duration: 5 hours
Difficulty: Medium (undulating with some exposed areas - sun protection needed)
Desirability: The longest and most challening hike on Whistler / Blackcomb offering incredible views and gorgeous wild flowers. The short out and back to Flute summit is worth if for the views into Garibaldi Park.
Description: The trailhead starts on Whistler Mountain after a gondola and chair lift ride. You start descending quite steeply before hitting the treeline and walking through the alpine meadows. For the first half there are great views of Cheakamus Lake with a few nice picnic spots. The trail then heads to Blackcomb mountain offering more mountain views, passing by Harmony Lake before reaching the Blackcomb Gondola station.
